The community of Highland Village has some fun events for the whole family coming up in this last half of October.

  • Saturday, October 18th from 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm at McAuliffe Elementary is the Wild West Fall Carnival for 2008 – This promises to have lots of food and entertainment. Your family will not want to miss the games, rides, and entertainment.

then after-wards head over to..

  • Saturday, October 18th from 6:30 pm till 10:00 pm for The Highland Shores Haunted Trail and Mad Science Show – The costume Contest will begin @ 6:30 pm for ages 5 -12 and the Mad Science Show will begin immediately after-wards @ 7:00 pm for those 5 -  12 year of age.  Registration is required to participate in these 2 events and the form or register online can be found at www.highlandshores.net. The Mad Science Show is a leading science enrichment provider. The show delivers a hands-on science experience, that is both educational and entertaining. This event will be at the Highland Shores Community Center and will last for 45 minutes and there is NO COST to attend. The Haunted Trail will begin following the science show, or as soon as it gets dark. This Haunted Trail may be too scary for children under the age of 10. The trail will begin at the drive-way entrance to the Highland Shores Management Office, which is right next to the community center. There is a $5 entrance fee to the trail, all proceeds go to non-profit organizations that volunteered. The trail should take 10-15 minutes to walk the trail after encountering ghost and ghouls.

All of these events are open to friends, family and neighbors to Highland Village residents. I will be attending these events with my volunteer hat on. I will be working  with the Highland Village Police Department Auxiliary, I will be one of the ones in a light blue shirt, so if you see me, Please say, Hello! and as always let me know if there are any real estate needs I can help you with.
