Double Oak
Double Oak is on FM 407 ten miles south of Denton and 15 miles North of DFW International Airport in southern Denton County. The area had a school district as early as 1884, but Double Oak was not incorporated until the 1970s, when suburban sprawl from Dallas-Fort Worth arrived. The population in 2007 was estimated at 3,2181. Double Oak is served by the Denton Independent School District and the Lewisville Independent School District.
